The Event

Safe Drive Stay Alive is aimed at new young drivers, and soon-to-be drivers, and can be held at any High School with a venue suitable for the production (eg theater, auditorium or gym). We utilize the school's facilities where possible, and bring in production equipment where necessary to ensure the highest production values. The stage setting is minimalist, to feature the video content on screens, with the presenters being spotlit center stage for dramatic impact.

Key Features:

Event duration

The live event is scripted and produced to within a 1-hour duration, making it flexible within normal school schedules, and minimizing disruption to classes. It also allows for several shows to take place in one day, covering a larger audience, again with minimal disruption to class schedules.

Localized

The video elements, including the crash/rescue scene, are tailored to each location so that the students identify with the surroundings. Locally sourced presenters add to the realism of the event, and draw the students into the action and speeches.

Customized
The video and presentation can be customized to address needs pertinent to a particular region or issue eg drunk driving, speeding, joy-riding, distracted driving (cell phones, iPods etc). We work with each school authority on scripting to accurately portray the message. The video can be scripted and produced for use within a wider region, through use of localized footage (eg street signs, place names), to keep production costs down.

Common-sense approach

The event content takes a common-sense approach to delivering the message - no preaching or finger-wagging. The audience are treated with respect, and are encouraged to draw their own conclusions on the subject.

Emotive
The presenters, from the emergency services, medical staff, parents of victims, and victims themselves, give personal and heartfelt insights into their experiences, in a very real and open manner, showing the emotional side of the consequences. This brings the students closer to the message, and makes them consider the potential results of their actions in a deeper manner.
